‘She’s a Lady’ (first commercial below) was the first Canadian Bank commercial ever to get short-listed at Cannes.

We used Canadian paper currency, which annoyed other banks and, ultimately, the Bank of Canada, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The client eventually pulled it, and we re-shot eight more, this time with coins, which didn't violate counterfeit laws and kept us all out of federal prison.

A few of those with coins are here. The paper currency files are in plastic baggies, in a vault at RCMP Headquarters.

Shot and directed by the passionate director/camerman, Steve Gordon.
